Your personal data come from you – either you provide them in registration or purchase, or they arise from your activity in the e-shop (e.g. orders and payments).

Purpose of personal data processing

We process your personal data because it is necessary for the following:

• Fulfilment of the contract, i.e. proper settlement of the order, payment processing and goods delivery, handling of any complaints, etc.
• Fulfilment of a legal obligation, i.e. keeping any purchase-related documentation, tax records. Primarily, these obligations are imposed by Act No. 89/2012 Sb., Civil Code, as amended, Act No. 634/1992 Sb., on Consumer Protection, as amended, Act No. 235/2004 Sb., on Value Added Tax, as amended, and Act No. 563/1991 Sb., on Accounting, as amended.
• Realization of our legitimate interests, which consists in the ability to contact you with commercial communications related to our offers of other similar products or services. Of course, you may disable the sending of such communications at any time.

The period of personal data storage

Personal data processed for a period stipulated by legal regulations or other binding standards, mainly tax and accounting regulations (10 years from the issuance of the last document related to your order).

As part of your user account in our e-shop, we process your identification and contact data as well as your order details to facilitate your repeated purchases by avoiding the necessity to re-enter the information requested in the order. Therefore, we use your personal data throughout the existence of your account, which you can delete at any time.

Access to your personal data, recipient categories

Your personal data can only be accessed by a limited group of employees of the University of Pardubice entitled thereto by their job position (e-shop technical administrators, publishing and economic department staff, etc.). We do not use any other entities (processors) to process your personal data.

However, if necessary, your personal data may be passed on to our partners to the extent necessary to ensure payment, shipping, and other requirements of your order.

In our case, this partner is Česká pošta, s.p. (CRN 47114983), to which we pass on your name, surname, delivery address, phone number, and e-mail address.
